Dancing for Diabetes has been spreading awareness about Type 1 Diabetes through the art of dance for nearly 20 years. For those living with the daily reality of Type 1 Diabetes, we offer a supportive community with many interactive programs and services designed to empower you to live a healthy life. Until a cure for Type 1 Diabetes is found, we continue our work supporting the approximately 1.25 million American children and adults who are affected. We do this with passion to serve those impacted and with gratitude for our sponsors, community partners and media supporters.

Type 1 at School is a Dancing for Diabetes community awareness program in which the DFD team provides Central Florida public and private schools with the tools and training they need in order to help their Type 1 students thrive. DFD provides the opportunity for school personnel to learn from experts and specialists and gain hands-on experience with the life-sustaining devices their Type 1 students use daily so they can better understand the realities of living with Type 1 Diabetes, its signs and symptoms, and best practices for keeping Type 1 students safe at school.
