Dancing for Diabetes has been spreading awareness about Type 1 Diabetes through the art of dance since 2000.  We offer a variety community events to educate the community about the realities of living with Type 1 Diabetes and to raise funds to assist in finding a cure.  And for those living with the daily reality of Type 1 Diabetes, we offer a supportive community with many interactive programs and creative resources designed to empower you to live a healthy life.  Until a cure for Type 1 Diabetes is found, we continue our work supporting the approximately 1.25 million American children and adults who are affected.  We do this with passion to serve those impacted and with gratitude for our sponsors, community partners and media supporters.

The Kids & Teens with Diabetes Dance Program is a series of free dance classes for youth with type 1 diabetes which fosters creativity, self-expression and physical activity. The program takes place every Saturday in the fall. The class leads up to a final performance in the annual Dancing for Diabetes show held each November at the Bob Carr Theatre in Orlando during National Diabetes Awareness Month.  Stay tuned for details about the 2019 Diabetes Dance Program.

D BOX Starter Kit

Knowing first-hand the intricacies of living with Type 1 Diabetes, the team at Dancing for Diabetes has created the D BOX – a starter kit providing important resources and supportive materials to help those we serve – thrive with diabetes. We provide a D BOX free of charge to anyone who needs ones and we fill the boxes with items donated from community supporters and sponsors.
